Lewis Goes on Balloon Ride

Myles reporting. I have been left on guard duty as my traveling companions explore Albuquerque, New Mexico. And for any of you that might not know, New Mexico is part of the USA.

The RV is undergoing some upgrades. My traveling companions are very excited about getting a new backup camera.

I do worry about my traveling companions, Lewis and Elaine, when they are gone. They told me they are going to the Balloon Fiesta for a few days but for me to check Facebook for posts about what they are doing. Good thing I found Stacy’s Facebook because Lewis and Elaine aren’t very good about posting info for me. But Stacy, wow I love her Facebook Live posts.

When I saw Lewis was going up in one of the balloons I got a little nervous. As I watched, I kept wondering “Why do you want to leave Mother Earth?” Horned toads, which is what I am in case you were wondering, love being on the ground.

I saw pictures of the balloon leaving with Lewis and David. Then nothing. No more pictures or texts. What was going on? I began pacing and wondered if they were all right. I checked the TV news channels and there weren’t any reports of balloons crashing or exploding, just how perfect of a day it was for ballooning.

Then I was alerted of a new Facebook video with Lewis and David. I watched them kneeling on the ground, in what appeared to be a prayer ritual. I almost cried with joy when I saw Lewis, but I can’t cry. So, I did a happy dance on the table. It was a little dance since it’s a small table.

As I watched the video, I saw a small person named Grady, standing behind Lewis with a bottle of water and a sneaky look on his face. Then he poured the water down the back of Lewis. I laughed until I rolled onto the floor. I like Grady, he’s my kind of human.

I’m signing off for now, but wanted to let everyone know we are in Albuquerque for a few more days.
